A day in the garden: help Emil in Düsseldorf
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Emil's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.
🇩🇪 Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany620 views
I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Düsseldorf for 42 years. After the storm in February, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

hang in there, Emil. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Düsseldorf.
hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
