A day in the garden: help Ali in Lyon
Ali, 85, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 85 and I have lived in this house in Lyon for 24 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

so sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Get well soon. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from New York.
