A community-led a covered market stall space at the Liberty vacant lot that will serve 485 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 485 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $200 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $85
Every share and every dollar helps.

sending strength, Leonardo. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Take care, Leonardo. More neighborhoods should do this. After 22 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Thinking of you and your family, Leonardo. More neighborhoods should do this. God bless.
