A covered market stall space for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Latina

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,950. It will serve about 117 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,950 goes: • Materials: $1,300 • Safety equipment and signage: $300 • Tools hire and delivery: $350 Every share and every dollar helps.
