Tema
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 332 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $75 • Tools hire and delivery: $20 • Materials: $255 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
