A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Bogra

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 471 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Materials: $270 • Permits and inspections: $60 If you're reading this, thank you.
