My niece, Pallavi, is 17 and in Grade 11. Pallavi loves school but computer science has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The school-leaving exam is in October. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Dwarka or online, for about twenty weeks. Pallavi is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in computer science, you could change the course of Pallavi's year. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

    • it takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Kandy.

      • Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless

        • Wishing you peace. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Shubra.

          • You're not alone. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Dwarka.
