A community garden for the Union community hall: help our neighbors in Dublin
Volunteers in Dublin are raising $3,050 for a community garden at the Union community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,050.
It will serve about 314 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Materials: $2,150
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $350
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
