A community garden for the old Cedar bus depot: help our neighbors in Jakarta Selatan
Volunteers in Jakarta Selatan are raising $450 for a community garden at the old Cedar bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 449 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Permits and inspections: $30
• Materials: $380
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
