A community garden for Acacia Park: help our neighbors in Novosibirsk

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,150. It will serve about 222 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,150 goes: • Materials: $900 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $95 • Tools hire and delivery: $105 Glad we found this place. - Bohdan
