A community fridge for the old Freedom bus depot: help our neighbors in Nsukka

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $500 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $115, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 292 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
