A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Hyderabad
Volunteers in Hyderabad are raising $450 for a community fridge at the old Liberty bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 265 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
