I'm Temitope, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study public health.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until March. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- 1 hour a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- university experience, essay feedback

Hope it all works out. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Lagos
Take care, Temitope. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family, Temitope. I hope things turn around soon. Take care.

Rooting for you, Temitope. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Wish I lived closer to Miami so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
