I'm Seung-woo, 16, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

This could happen to any of us. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Stay strong, Seung-woo. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Blessings.
Wishing you the best. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
