I'm Priya, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until December. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Priya. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Sending strength, Priya. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Leipzig.
Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Soweto.
