I'm Opio, 17, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until May. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thank you so much.

Best of luck, Opio. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Maringá so I could bring a meal.
So sorry you're going through this, Opio. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Fort Portal.
Praying for you, Opio. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Lowell so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Karlsruhe.
