I'm Michael, 18, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until August. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Wishing you the best, Michael. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
keep going, Michael. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
best of luck. Study hard! Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Lagos.
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope August is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Lagos.
So sorry you're going through this, Michael. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 27 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Lagos
best of luck, Michael. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless
Take care, Michael. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from London.
Thinking of you and your family. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
