I'm Mateo, 18, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until September. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Wishing you peace, Mateo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Marseille.
Rooting for you, Mateo. This could happen to any of us

This could happen to any of us. Love from Jabalpur.
So sorry you're going through this, Mateo. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Ciudad de México.
Praying for you, Mateo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
Hope it all works out, Mateo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
