I'm Lucía, 18, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at my mosque and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

- 1 hour a week

Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Monterrey.
Hang in there, Lucía. Hope you get there. Blessings
