I'm Isaac, 16, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until July. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Study hard! Sent it to 19 people at work. Take care
you're not alone, Isaac. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Toronto.
Stay strong, Isaac. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
keep going. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in San Francisco this morning
Good luck, Isaac. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out.
So sorry you're going through this, Isaac. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in San Diego donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
Sending strength, Isaac. Hope this works out for you. God bless.
Good luck, Isaac. Shared this with my family.
This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best!
You're not alone, Isaac. Hope this works out for you. After 6 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
Hope you get there. After 18 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
