I'm Guadalupe, 17, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study public health. I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work. I'm looking for an hour a week until June. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request. Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Hope things get better soon. Hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Lahore.

    • Thinking of you, Guadalupe. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.

        • It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Albany donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
