A college application mentor for Eugene, first in the family to apply
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Eugene's essays until April.

I'm Eugene, 19, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until April. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
best of luck, Eugene. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Bengaluru
