A college application mentor for Danielle, first in the family to apply
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Danielle's essays until April.

I'm Danielle, 17, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at my mosque and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until April. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thank you so much.

Good luck, Danielle. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 37 people at work. Greetings from Austin.
Keep going, Danielle. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Bronx!
hang in there, Danielle. Shared this with my family.
This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Alcalá de Henares.
