I'm Burcu, 16, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Mumbai.
Good luck with the exams, you've got this. All the best
Looking forward to the next update. Love from Los Angeles
Hope it all works out, Burcu. Shared it with a few friends. Blessings.
Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best!
