A chemistry tutor for Derek, 15, who's falling behind

Derek is working hard on chemistry but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the national would help enormously.

My nephew, Derek, is 15 and in Grade 11. Derek loves school but chemistry has been a struggle since the school was closed during the move. The national exam is in October. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in San Antonio or online, for about twelve weeks. Derek is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in chemistry, you could change the course of Derek's year. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Erie so I could bring a meal
