My nephew, Bakari, is 15 and in Form 3. Bakari loves school but chemistry has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The SAT exam is in May. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Zanzibar City or online, for about twenty weeks. Bakari is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in chemistry, you could change the course of Bakari's year. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.

Hang in there. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best!
