Vinh lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,700. His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Vinh could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $7,700 goes: • braille note-taker: $7,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $195 • Delivery and set-up: $175 • First-year servicing plan: $330 Glad we found this place.
