Safiatou needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $5,450.

Safiatou lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Strasbourg Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,450.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Safiatou could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
