A braille note-taker for Mwanaisha: help Mwanaisha move freely
Mwanaisha needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $600.

Mwanaisha lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Naivasha Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Mwanaisha could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $600 goes:
• braille note-taker: $550
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Apio
Good news. Because of your gifts ($29 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
