I coordinate donations at Union Refugee Centre in St. Petersburg. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in St. Petersburg, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Refugee Centre on Thursday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

    • sending good thoughts, Santiago. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.

      • I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Zapopan!

        • Thinking of you, Santiago. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
