Takoradi
I coordinate donations at Baobab Refugee Centre in Takoradi. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Takoradi, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Baobab Refugee Centre on Thursday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Baobab Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
