I coordinate donations at the Maple Mosque in Gujranwala. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Gujranwala, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Mosque on Sunday between 9am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • best of luck, Farhan. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Dar es Salaam this morning. Take care

    • Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Los Angeles

      • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Leeds!

        • Thinking of you and your family, Farhan. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Celaya.

          • you're not alone, Farhan. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
