I coordinate donations at the Acacia Community Church in Las Cruces. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Las Cruces, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Community Church on Thursday between 11am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double

    • Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
