I coordinate donations at Union Women's Shelter in Grenoble. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Grenoble, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Women's Shelter on Saturday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Ottawa

      • Sending strength. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My husband and I read this together. Take care.

        • Thinking of you, Sophie. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
