Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 422 neighbors in Birmingham. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone, Howard. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Birmingham
