I coordinate donations at the Lotus Family Centre in San Jose. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in San Jose, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Lotus Family Centre on Sunday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Lotus Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts, Fernando. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best
stay strong, Fernando. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
