Every year the Holiday Toy Drive brings together 282 neighbors in Aurora. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Wish I lived closer to San Cristóbal de las Casas so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Aurora.

This could happen to any of us. After 16 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything.

              • so sorry you're going through this, John. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

                • You're not alone, John. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope January is when things finally get easier. Love from Juazeiro do Norte.

                        • Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Campinas but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Aurora.
