Weekly meals for families and seniors in Kozhikode
Rohit runs a volunteer pantry feeding 185 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 185 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 43% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kozhikode market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
With deep gratitude,
Rohit

Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Hamilton so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Petrópolis!
sending good thoughts. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Kozhikode.
