Weekly meals for families and seniors in Dhaka
Mim runs a volunteer pantry feeding 285 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 285 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dhaka market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $105
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $95
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Mim?
Thank you. If you're in Dhaka I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. I'll keep the page updated.
Praying for you. Hope this works out for you. Don't give up.
hope things get better soon, Mim. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
