We lost everything in the flash flood: help the families of Hillcrest Lane start over
Neighbors in the families of Hillcrest Lane are rebuilding after the flash flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flash flood hit the families of Hillcrest Lane on 21 August. My home was one of 78 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $400 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $85
• Clean water and purification supplies: $90
• Tools and labor for repairs: $225
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

rooting for you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Palmira
Stay strong, Souad. More neighborhoods should do this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Sharqia. I'll ask around and let you know
