Tuition fund for Marta: a degree in social work at the Macon Institute of Technology
Marta has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in social work; a $1,900 gap now stands between her and graduation.

Marta is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at the Macon Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,900.
The registrar has said Marta can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Marta has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Marta would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Marta isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Macon Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Textbooks and materials: $430
• Final term tuition: $1,160
