The Sycamore health centre yard needs a youth football pitch - Diego's neighborhood project
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Sycamore health centre yard that will serve 471 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,550.
It will serve about 471 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Materials: $2,850
• Safety equipment and signage: $440
• Tools hire and delivery: $260

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($2,850) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
