For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 90 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $165 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $15 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 Every share and every dollar helps. - Sana
