The old Jacaranda bus depot needs a youth football pitch - Mia's neighborhood project
A community-led a youth football pitch at the old Jacaranda bus depot that will serve 451 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,450.
It will serve about 451 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Materials: $2,700
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $190
• Tools hire and delivery: $455
