We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $800 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 220 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $800 goes: • Permits and inspections: $95 • Tools hire and delivery: $155 • Materials: $550 I hope life is good to you. - Mateus

Sending strength, Mateus. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Caloocan.
