The Lotus vacant lot needs a covered market stall space - Yasmin's neighborhood project
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Lotus vacant lot that will serve 276 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,500.
It will serve about 276 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Materials: $840
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $325
Thanks for reading all this.

It's all in the list in the story. materials is the big one at $840, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
