The Lotus health centre yard needs a playground - Eliana's neighborhood project
A community-led a playground at the Lotus health centre yard that will serve 432 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $400, and the remaining cost is $2,700.
It will serve about 432 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Materials: $1,400
• Permits and inspections: $370
• Safety equipment and signage: $460
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
