The Acacia vacant lot needs a community garden - Gheorghe's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,400 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,400.
It will serve about 361 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
• Materials: $1,190

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gheorghe.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. safety equipment and signage comes first ($110) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
