Septoplasty for Tahmina: covering what insurance won't
Tahmina needs septoplasty at Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center and the family is $800 short of the hospital's estimate.

Tahmina was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in May. The surgeon at Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,350, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $800 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tahmina struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Tahmina won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $800 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $20
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $350
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $40
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $345
Thank you so much.
