Rotimi wants to stay at home - help fund three months of care
Rotimi can't afford the care He needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we're asking for $500.
🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria1,080 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 90. After a diagnosis of dementia Rotimi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rotimi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Rotimi worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $500 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $350
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
I hope life is good to you.
